Job Description
An opportunity has arisen for an Estimator to join a privately owned, well established Main Contractor based in Canary Wharf, working on a full time, permanent basis.
In this role as an Estimator, you will be supporting and working alongside a seasoned Preconstruction Team, for a tier 1 contractor, working on new build and refurbishment projects including industrial, data centres, logistics, commercial offices, mixed use buildings, retail, education and residential sectors.
Estimator Duties: - Preparation of and submitting tenders, working alongside the Preconstruction Team. - Work alongside the Project Planner, Bid Manager and Design Manager. - Utilise supply chain when preparing tenders. - Participate in post-tender meetings with Clients. - Complete take-offs from bid documents to identify labour, material, and time requirements. - Maintain and create strong and positive working relationships.
Estimator Criteria: - Strong knowledge and experience of construction, specifically working on commercial developments, complex data centres and industrial projects. - Strong knowledge base in Groundworks and Earthworks. - Minimum of 5 years in an Estimating or Surveying position.
